News about Blumenhofer Acoustics
After the big success of the Gran Galà dell'Alta Fedeltà in Milano, Spinelli, our local dealer, invited his customers to listen to the system of the show.
The setups were 3 and the loudspeakers playing were 4. All Cammino Cabling, all Octave amplification. Really amazing systems, all really enjoyable.
We spent the day talking with people and listening to music. That was good… meanwhile, our children were amazingly playing: everyone had his fun!!
If You are curious about the setup, You can get the information from the pictures here
On the 19th of November, Stefan Wörmer from HiFi Wörmer held an event at his show room in Bispingen. Performing were the Genuin FS 2 on MastersounD electronics with ZeroUno DAC.
This is the statement of Stefan:
Klasse statt Masse!
Stefan bears a very fine sinn for humor and a very colorful way of expressing the ideas and the concepts. Really enjoyable indeed.
Should You be curious to see some more pictures of the setup in Bispingen, please sail to these pages here
At the ITIS in Trieste, a house of services to the elderly people, in cooperation with CAMST, one of the leading Italian catering companies, and with Tafos, we organized an event to entertain the guests of the ITIS.
It was a bit of embarrassing at the beginning, but then seeing the people sing and enjoy and get lost on the music was really touchy for me and for the other organizers. Once more, we enjoyed the magic and the effects that music listening can give to the people.
The setup was not the top of the tops, but it was sufficient to give to the audience some moments of memories.

Harald Pensel, from MuSiCa NoVa started his regular RöhrenTage events with our Genuin FS 3 MK 2.
It is an impressive studio, what he presents to the customers and the choices are maybe even too much!
His statement of the day was:
War toll, viel mehr Besucher als erwartet
That means that it was good and he enjoyed the day and he had more people than expected.

Tafos Audio, our partner for Slovenia, organized a flabbergasting event. We spent the whole day in an olive tree plantation. A wonderful relaxing landscape. While we were sweating in the halls of the Munich High End, Igor Opassi, from Tafos Audio, enjoyed at the Internautica in Portorose, Slovenia. Even if the public was more interested in other issue, for sure the public was more appealing for a men's eye ;-)
Browse the pictures taken by Igor and You will for sure agree with me. Here.
Our distributor, André Aebischer, from Soundrevolution.ch was very enthusiastic about the event in Olten. Here are his words in German!

If You are curious, here some pictures of the event
The Vienna Vinyl and Music Fair is an event based on Music. Lots of Gigs, lots of good chances to buy LPs, CDs and any kind of material to play music. (here some pictures from the organizer)
It is not about tools and gears for reproduction of music. It is about music at all.
In this show we had a special room to make what we like: we played music.
Walter took several pictures of the event, here You can watch them on his web pages or here You can have a look at the ones we have chosen.
It was just a one day event in a town in the former East Germany. But it was not less worth than a whole weekend show. Borne from the cooperation of two HiFi shops in Leipzig, Germany, presented in 5 rooms lots of equipment and good sounding materials. We had our Genuin FS 3 MK 2 signature edition, and it won some more signatures during the show.
Armin (our sales rep) and Matthias (retailer of Uni-HiFi) told me that they were amazed by the musicality of our loudspeaker and the way the people appreciated its qualities. I do not doubt and I'm looking forward to have it in Hamburg myself. The ambiente and the whole program were first class. You can see it in our gallery here
Spinelli HiFi in Viale Zara 108 in Milan hosted an event sponsored by our Italian distributor: HiFi United and the Home Vision group.
We have spent some good days playing there music. There were lot of people and very friendly customers. It was recharging! And we enjoyed it.
The system was composed by:
- Transrotor Turntable
- Rega CD Player
- Octave V70-SE Power amplifier
- Several components from M2Tech
- Astri contributed very effectively to tune the room acoustics
- and our Genuin FS 3 MK 2.
Lot of the components were brand new, but at the end of the days we managed to burn them in.
That was amazing, such a huge amount of people was not expected: we were ready to relax at the show, but in fact we had a huge amount of contacts that it is unbelievable!
4 Seasons - beautiful ladies came to visit us. In the name of Music and Beauty.

We played, but that was not the main point, we played our Genuin FS 2 in an Accustic Arts setup. Crowned by a Dr. Feickert Blackbird turntable.
And there was a second setup, with a Tempesta 17. But for sure it was not an audiophile show, it was all about Music, the way it should be.
The gigs? Well, astonishing, really professionals and amazing music made. For the first time in my life, I enjoyed an hammond, live!!
My opinion? Well, believe me, this show will grow. This show has a really astonishing potential! And we are one important part of it. You will see in 5 years: if the cards are played in the proper way, it is going to become one of the reference show in the German speaking countries!
But if You are curious to see some pictures I took from the current 2015 edition: please check here our gallery
And here You can read the Blog comments of Walter Kircher: it is worth it and it is in english
It was the first experiment, and we have learnt how to improve the quality of the next ones. There will be regularly, probably one every 3-4 months.

Iluxcontent, filmed a short movie at Audio21 in the Netherlands. They tell me that it is quite entertaining… for those who speak Dutch.
It is about the good things for the men. The things that make life sweeter and worth the living.
It took the whole day to film, but Mark van Braam seems to be done for the show.
Take a look at it here:
Walter Kircher, our sales representative for Austria, supported the presentation of our products in Linz at Sambs HiFi.
Michael Holzinger from Sempre Audio attended the event himself and in the near future will publish a short review of the event.
During the show we agreed on a test of the Tempesta 17.
This is the setup:
· Accustic Arts inklusive kompletter Referenz Elektronik natürlich
· our Genuin FS 2 Lautsprecher
· Dr. Feickert Analogue Blackbird Plattenspieler, mit Reed 3P Tonarm und Lyra Kleos System
· Symposium Acoustics Rack, Basen und Rollerblocks
· Cammino Power Harmonizer
· Chisto Das klang Vintage-DNA Kabel
From the pictures, the system looked gorgeous and from the tales, it played every nice and emotional, able to transfer a really nice sense of music.
Walter Kircher published a long review of the event with the complete list of the equipment utilized. You can read it here
Here You can browse some pictures on our pages, and here You can browse the official photo Album of the event on Walter Kircher's pages.
The aim of the show was not presenting Blumenhofer, but Blumenhofer has been chosen as a tool to present the other HiFi components in the game. This is for us an even bigger compliment: people should concentrate on music and listening.
Star of the show were several Ortofon cartridges on an Extension 10 Tonearm. Aim was to demonstrate the difference between several cartridges.
Electronic from Pro-ject, the reference series.
Although the star was Ortfon, the visitors paid high attention to the loudspeakers, and even women appreciated the look and the music our loudspeakers have been able to deliver.
Here You can enjoy more pictures of the event
When I entered the room of the event of The Finest Brands, I was skeptic. I did not really understood what it was all about... but I tell You, as time went by and the discussion continued I was more and more amused and amazed!!! What a great choice, what a big chance! What a fantastic idea!
The Finest Brands is promoting Lifestyle brands and equipment made to better enjoy life and fill up the free time with great activities: Music and Dramaturgy are arts that since the dawn of mankind are supporting the soul of the men.
Which brands are included in this portfolio? For the time being, and just an example:
- Donnelly Fine Art
- Signature Royale
- Olhausen Pool table and games
- Darafeev Fine Furniture
- Inada Massage Chairs
- Memphis Grills
- LifeForm executive Seating
- Positive Posture Recliners
- ...and many more!
Blumenhofer is not directly in the portfolio of the finest brands, because electronics is not in their portfolio, but... look for the finest brands in Your hometown in USA and You will find our loudspeakers.
The most beautiful story regarding music of those days is that for the first time I've had the chance to experiment a true Blumenhofer Genuin FS 2 home cinema set. It included the Genuin CS 2 Twin center and 2 Sub 21". All powered by a spectacular Dataset processor and power amplifier. The Subs were alimented by a 10 kW power amplifier: my best cinema experience ever!!
4 were the setups in the showroom:
- Tempesta 17 Bookshelf with Sonos amplifier
- Tempesta 17 home cinema set with Arcam receiver
- Tempesta 20 stereo set with Arcam CD Player, Arcam Dac and Arcam Stereo Power Amplifier
- Genuin FS 2 home cinema set with Datasat AV Decoding and Power Amplification
Already this was a fantastic experience, and then, in another showroom, I had the chance to enjoy a complete Tempesta 20 home cinema set.
In both cases the chosen projector was a Sim2, a small luxury brand, devoted to highest quality.
Take Your time to have a look at the pictures here, they are really saying more than words!

These are the Words of Mark van Braam of Audio 21:
"The 12th October, Audio21 in Wapenveld NL held their vinyl-party. In three listening rooms, three sets, the first Gran Gioia with the new preamp of Sonore AC, in the second the FS2 ‘patchwork’ which is probably the most special pair of the world, also with the amps of Sonore AC. The third listening room was filled with the fun13, amp of Pathos Acoustics. And of course vinyl was always the source; Pluto and Dr. Feickert were ‘singing’. Outside in a tent, the local vinyl store showed their new stock. About 150 people came to this charming event, in the most charming hifi-shop of the Netherlands. Next year, the first weekend of may, the second edition of the ‘Vinylfuif’. The word ‘fuif’ is difficult to translate… an other word for ‘party’ which was used in the 80’s."

On the 28th of June Alta Fedeltà in Calco, near Lecco hosted a very nice event with Blumenhofer.
Here You can read something more about the event. It is written on Italian.
Which Loudspeakers? A Fun 10, a Tempesta 20 and a Genuin FS 2 connected to Octave power amplification.
The Sala Grande room had:
- whole cabling from Cammino-HP
- Power harmonization from Cammino as well
The Sala Nuova room presented:
Needles to say that most people spent most of the time in the Sala Grande.
Well, we hat lots of questions and lot of information share, lot of talks and, in between, I had the chance to sit down and enjoy some music: my impression was that there was no system, that everything disappeared and the music came like a wall with a refinement and a description precise like a diamond cut. It had the presence and the richness of a complete symphonic orchestra. Wow a seldom experience!
Here some pictures of the event.
p.s.: during the event we agreed with Angelo Jasparro for a review of the Genuin FS 2 on his online magazine, Audio-activity
The first step in the Polish market! If You are curious, here some pictures of the event courtesy of Andreas Wall.
The chain playing was composed as follows:
- 40 years old Technics turntable in Blumenhofer Acoustics plint
- Octave Phonomodule
- Octave HP 500 SE preamplifier
- Octave MRE 220 mono amplifier
- Exposure CD Player
- and our Genuin FS 2
Only on static display there were:
- Octave V 70 SE
- Mini in Pear look
- Tempesta 17 bookshelf in indian apple tree
- one sample of in wall loudspeakers
Well... I know that it can play much better, but it was great!!
==> to the gallery
He says about the Genuin FS 2:
Some time ago I had the FS2 at home for a review and rated them highly. For less than 15.000 Euro a pair they are yours and I do promise you that you will enjoy your music collection over a long period and you won’t cherish further wishes
And about the Gran Gioia:
Of a to me well known recording from Holly Cole the tracks "Be Careful It’s My Heart" and "Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries" belong to my personal favorites of the LP version. With the Gran Gioia the playback is fast and wide open. Very transparent but not to an unattractive analytical level. As soon as more instruments join the piano the created harmony justifies the price level of this system.
The show went great! Lots of visitors, great sound, even AJ (van den Hul) participated personally. René van Es took the pictures (now in the gallery) and will write a show report of the day.
It was the first show ever worldwide with 4 Pluto turntables. We played with the Gran Gioia's and the Genuin FS 2's and for the first time with a complete van den Hul amplification set-up!
All the Plutos played with the new Crimson cartridge from van den Hul.
You can read a report on the event written by René van Es on the pages of Puresound.be page
Set-up 1: Gran Gioia with Pluto 10A turntable, 9a tonearm (Cammino wired) and vdH Crimson card, VdH Grail SB (Holy Grail) phono preamp. Pluto 12a turntable, Reed 2A tonearm, vdH Crimson card and vdH Grail phono preamp, vdH Emerald pre- and Excalibur mono power amplifiers, vdH 3T cabling.
Gioias in a static setup with Pathos amplifier and a Pluto 12A carbon turntable.
Living room setup: Pluto 12 A carbon Cobra with Pluto 6 A tonearm, vdH Crimson card, Sonore AC pre and poweramplifiers, vdH Grail phono preamp and Blumenhofer FS2 loudspeakers.
Well... they were that busy dealing with customers that they forgot about taking pictures.
It must have been amazing.
During set-up we did have some really hard time: making it perfect to the spot has been more challenging than expected.
- Tempesta 20 mains
- Center 20
- Surround 17
- Sub 15
- Galaktron Power amplifier
- Cambridge Audio receiver
- Cambridge Audio Blue Ray player
- Epson 4k projector
Cabling and power treatment:
Well... I'm thinking about such a setup at my place ;-)
Here some pictures of the event.
Chef Harald Pensel, played a chain based on our Genuin FS 2 combined with a Scheu Analog complete turntable.
All the material presented was made in Germany.
For sure people participating had their wishes fulfilled.
Here some pictures of the event.
On the first weekend there was EAR and Blumenhofer and this weekend we played at Spinelli with a source and power amplification of Yamaha. They were the top stereo products the A-S3000 and the CD-S3000. The products were top and the sound matched the quality of the products used.
The whole cabling and power treatment, as usual in our events was completely Cammino.
Some of the people present the week before have come again to enjoy the difference and better understand the quality of the material involved in the presentation. They were not disappointed. The character of the 2 kind of amplification was clearly recognizable.
For me it has been a really successful weekend!! Here the Gallery of the pictures
Lot of people coming appreciated the quality of the reproduction and some of them spent there several hours to enjoy music in a way they only could appreciated in concerts.
The HiFi Schmiede is situated in an idillic village not far from Karlsruhe, in the south west of Germany. In the ancient time there was a smith, an important one for the region. If You visit the store, other than real good music and ambient, You find remainings of this older use of the area.
The focus was music, and lots has been played. The original idea was to have 20 minutes music and then 40 minutes discussions. In the end there was music from the beginning to the end and always again one question in between.
The whole system was composed by:
- Lindemann 825 CD Player
- Rega RP8 Turntable with Quezo cartridge
- Octave Phonomodule
- Octave V110 Power amplifier
- Genuin FS 2
- Cammino cabling and power supply
With these components and with the fantastic LP collection of Mr. Baumer, it is useless to say how good it has been. If You are even just a little bit curious, You can check the pictures on our gallery here
A familiar ambient and a really professional support from Mark van Braam, near there a very cosy Bed and Breakfast to be able to enjoy Your own listening section until late at night and the whole day after.
Here some pictures of the event.
Lots of first times this time in Palermo.
First time in Palermo, the first impression was great.
First time Sony 4k projection presentation, wow gorgeous
…first time appeared a Blumenhofer product (and myself) in TV.
Here, You can see the reportage of this interview on YouTube.
Here, You can see the reportage directly embedded in the news. Scroll to 23rd minutes and soon after will start the interview.
All of this happened at Pick-Up HiFi, a 47 years old HiFi institution in Palermo, founded from Father Cefalù which Vincenzo e Fabio are continuing with love and engagement. Here extensive information about the event, in Italian
Besides that, which is only a small part of the huge amount of surprises we enjoyed, there were dozens of beautiful people and beautiful opportunity during the 2 days. Stay tuned to read the review of a listening section on AVMagazine.
The affluence of public has been enthusiastic and the people were really fit on music listening, able to appreciate the quality and ready to give good hints. We had lots of nice talks. If You have the impression that the pictures are of empty rooms, it is because we took them late in the evening when we had already spent all of our strengths
Thank You Vincenzo, Fabio, Carlo for making this possible. See You soon!!
If I made You curious, You can visit Pick-Up HiFi and/or take a look at our gallery of the event
Here You can read some more in German.
The setup was composed by:
- Blumenhofer Acoustics Gioia
- Einstein integrated Power Amplifier
- Dr. Feickert Blackbird
They told me that the acoustics was not the best. But the Ambient has been exceptional.
p.s.: all pictures © Peter Vellekoop 2013
It was a long time that we did not go to China and we appreciated the opportunity.
In the end there were 3 rooms playing Blumenhofer Loudspeakers:
- the room of the German chamber of commerce playing a Fun 10 and a Tempesta 17 on the 3rd day
- our room with a Genuin FS 2
- the room of Mr. Amari with the Genuin FS 3 he purchased some years ago
what to say, we are small player, but apparently well appreciated :-)
He organized the show with an exceptional presence of our brand: our loudspeakers were present in 3 rooms.
In one room there was:
- Genuin FS 1
- in a setup with 4 Turntables from Pluto and Acoustics Signature
- 4 Phono preamplifiers from Einstein, van den Hul, Octave and Monk Audio
- and the Octave V110 with a (silver) black box.
- 2 H3.1 Power Harmonizer from Cammino
a really impressive setup.
On the sunday, in this room have been recorded and replayed a live concert of Case Mayfield. It was astonishing to have the artist sitting there and the music playing 1 to 1 and hardly notice a difference between the live and the playback performance.
The second room had:
- Blumenhofer Acoustics Genuin FS 2
- Einstein integrated amplifier
- Einstein Phono Preamplifier
- Dr. Feickert Blackbird
The third room showed:
- Blumenhofer Acoustics big Fun 20
- Hans Acoustics Turntables
The Church Santa Maria Assunta in Bibione received a new organ from one beloved member of his community, Rino Benedett.
Then we discovered that Fritz de With from STS-Digital has a spleen for organ music and loves to record organs.
Agreements were made and quite fast the decision was taken.
With the support of the community in Bibione the Church has been able to finance the production of the CD of the inaugural concert of the organ.
The CD is only for internal use of the Church and for the local community. You can contact Don Andrea Vena here if You wish to have more information about it.
Under magistral conduction of Maestro Daniel Roth from Saint Sulpice in Paris, the result and the sound were really moving.
These were the music played
This concert was the opening concert for the Summer organ concert season in Bibione.
The Organ comes from the Francesco Zanin company of Codroipo. The site is still in construction but You can reach them here.
Some data of the organ can be read in this document
To perform the recording Fritz de With used a 4 microphone setup, placing 2 microphones in front of the altar directed to the two wings of the organ plus 2 more microphones about 10 meters behind to be able to generate the ambience of the church and eliminate some of the unavoidable disturbs arising during a live concert.
The microphones from Shoeps were connected to a Nagra VI pro 8-channel recorder. The power supply chain of the electronic involved was from Cammino-HP.
Blumenhofer's involvement? We made the whole possible and our loudspeakers will be used in the post-processing of the recorded tracks to reach the quality needed to realize the CD.
After enjoying the concert in the church, we spent the whole sunday playing the tracks again and again to understand the quality and start a first remixing process to decide the relative levels of the tracks. We were astonished, I've never had the experience of listening for a concert a second time in that quality. It beamed me away into a meditative status: fantastic! I'm looking forward for hearing the CD at my place.
Music joined sculpture, paintings and integrated itself in the Gaswerk in Augsburg, an monument to industry and industrialization, how production can become art itself.
On the 31st of March and the 1st of April our Dutch dealer East West Audio Shop organized a great show with one key role player: Blumenhofer Acoustics!
Set-ups were made with the Fun's 10 and 13, Big Fun 17, Genuin FS4.2, Genuin FS3.2 and Genuin FS1. Main source during this event was streaming audio, except for one set-up (and this set-up had it's private room to show the real meaning of dynamics): Blumenhofer Genuin FS1, Grandinote mono-amps, Octave Phonomodule and an Acoustic-Signature turntable with a van den Hul cartridge. All the cables were supplied by Live Cable. This set-up almost made us forget we were listening to reproduced music, closer to life is almost impossible.
A very big surprise for our visitors was the set-up in the main hall with the Genuin FS3.2. Powered by an Octave HP300 mkII and a RE 280 power amplifier this set-up was able to fill the complete hall with a very good open 3- dimensional sound with lot's of dynamics. No big surprise for us of course, but to keep in mind: this room was 10 meters wide and 20 meters long! A very big compliment for this set-up. The source in this set-up was streaming audio with Arcam and Calyx DAC's.
Again we were also noticing that Blumenhofer and T+A is a very good marriage, the Genuin FS4.2 and Big Fun 17 almost seemed to be made for this electronics, according to our visitors: nothing but big thumbs up!
As a ''little'' surprise we introduced the Blumenhofer Fun 10, this €975 a piece loudspeaker was playing with the all-in-one CVR-100 from Audio Block (€799), this complete set-up showed visitors that even the smallest Blumenhofer loudspeaker is still a real Blumenhofer loudspeaker. While playing in that same 200m2 room there was no lack of bass or definition at all! We foresee a very good future for this new range, almost impossible to beat in it's price range.
As with every show also this one had to come to an end, but we already agreed, this is going to be an event that will return every year.
This show was organized by Blumenhofer dealer East West Audio shop, Blumenhofer, Octave and Acoustic-Signature distributor Music2, T+A and Arcam distributor Audiac, STS-Digital and Music-Emotion magazine
Two systems were playing,
- one with an vintage Thorens turntable and a vintage 2250B Marantz receiver playing our new Fun 13 loudspeaker
- one with a Technics SP-15 and a Marantz nineteen (19) receiver playing our new Genuin FS 2 loudspeaker
The only modern components were our speakers,
Well, we all agreed, with modern loudspeaker technology older systems are able to deliver better performance than lot of new systems on the market.
Coffee and cheese were a roundup to the music enjoyment.
We will have another retro evening on the 10th of December. Feel free to come and participate.
It was the best occasion to know him and his team personally and support his promotion of our brand in Spain.
I have been very warmly welcomed and felt as I would fit well there, maybe is the southern way of thinking, maybe is because I'm Italian and it seems natural to be there.
We set the system up on the 7th and on the morning of the 8th and have been quite satisfied of the sound result.
The setup consisted of an Ayon Spark III, and an Ayon CD Player.
At 10:30 started to come the first visitors: customers and friends of Tomás and Pick Up Sound: the enthusiasm and the affluence have been far better than expected. People came from Sivilla, Granada and Malaga to spend the day with us listening for music.
During the afternoon we changed the cables, XLR instead of RCA for the connection of the CD Player to the Power Amplifier... the setup was already good, it became fantastic!
After the show Antonio wrote me a mail that gave me lot of Joy:
[...] I think the FS 3 are amazing, love it. But the most impressing thing was Mr Vitali illuminating face every time he pronounced the word “music”.
I hope you never lose that passion and love for music, because I think that is the spirit that makes your brand sound as good.[...]
Here You can read some more about the event on the Forum of PickupSound
And that's one fact that we should never forget, as Carlos suggested during the event:
Music joined sculpture, paintings and integrated itself in the Gaswerk in Augsburg, an monument to industry and industrialization, how production can become art itself.
In the organization of the event we did not consider the start of the Christmas markets in the south of Germany and therefore we have not been able to grant Pro-Ject the public it deserved.
ATR offered one USB Box, which already found the winner, he has been contacted by e-mail. We have come Cantuccini left and for sure they will not become old in the drawer.
On Sunday we used the pauses between the visitors to think about some Projects and Ideas we have in mind: some nice perspectives have started to grow in our minds... I will not tell anything more, but really soon you will find some results on these same pages :-)
In the focus there will be products of Axiss Europe and the product portfolio of the Sweden "Harmony Design". The speaker will be Blumenhofer-Acoustics Fun 17 and Genuin FS 4.2.
The accessories of SRM Design will be available as well as opportunity to buy new and used LPs.

from the 3rd until the 22nd of September in Berlin in Stilwerk, Max Schlundt presented our products in his IFA-Parallel event.
We brought him the Clara Luna for which should be taken an appointment; the Genuin FS 1, the Genuin FS 3 and the Fun 17 were on the contrary ready for play anytime.
At Max event there have been some interesting panel discussion on several arguments concerning the world of HiFi nowadays, and the changes happened in the last years from the vinyl to the streamer’s era. We unfortunately did not have the chance to participate and listen to the lessons, but Max told us that they have been a success.
