No need for big marketing slogans, no need to tell You how many prototypes of the horn we built, no need to tell You what nor why. As usual, no compromises… but we collected good ideas what could come next ;-)
Today we will play the Gran Gioia MK 2 for the first time in public. At the Munich High End 2017 Room F224… there is no better moment to introduce new products.
After several years we discontinue the Gioia, the Gran Gioia and the Clara Luna. The reasons are different but absolutely understandable.
The Clara Luna: one of the components is no more available and there is no possibility to find an alternative without going in the MK 2 version.
The Gran Gioia: in the last years we have made huge steps forward in the construction and in the knowledge about how to build horns and phase plugs.
The Gioia: very simple, the costs related to the construction of the Gioia are just a little bit lower than the costs related to the Gran Gioia. This would put the Gioia in a very similar price category to the Gran Gioia and would force us to artificially increase the price of the Gran Gioia. We are not keen to these pricing games just to avoid internal competitions. We aim at giving the best value for money to our customers.
Our Milan dealer, Enea Spinelli from Spinelli HiFi, participated to the Milano Hi-Fidelity show this year. An event from the Sound of the Valve by Stefano Zaini, this event presents HiFi in Milano since more than 16 years.
It has been an amazing weekend with some very good music and food. I enjoyed the chance as well to test some of the music for the Munich High End.
No big news in the setup but for the new racks of Solidsteel and feet of Omicron. Nothing very mind blowing, but a lot of small things to increase the level of the presentation.
Octave and Marantz electronics, Transrotor and Rega sources, Cammino cabling and power treatment. Blumenhofer loudspeakers.
If You wich to see more pictures You can enjoy them here.
Here some pictures
At Sambs HiFi in Linz, Walter Kircher presented our Genuin FS 1 MK 2 on a McIntosh chain… the week before that same chain powered another brand of loudspeakers… a good chance for a comparison ;-)
Here You can enjoy more pictures.
Fi Audio is our new distributor for the United Kingdom, the cooperation started about the end of 2016. We are looking forward for a fruitful working together!
FI Audio is located in Scotland… I think we will soon pay a visit to his offices ;-) there is a lot to enjoy there!!
Walter Kircher presented our products at the Vienna Vinyl show at the Ottakringer Brewery, an exceptional location with a big potential for public and good entertainment. In one of the pictures You can see concert area, which, You can believe me, has been used very well during the event!!!
Here You can enjoy some more pictures of Walter Kircher.
Alexander Aschenbrunner from HiFi Stars spent some times with our Genuin FS 2 and had the chance to enjoy a lot of music. Apparently he will not give the loudspeaker back.
If You are curious about his report, You can read it at page 62-65 on the 34 issue of the magazine or here the pdf of the article in German and here in English
The polish magazine High Fidelity translated the review of the Genuin FS 3 MK 2 written by Marek Dyba in English. Here You can read it. I'll read it in the next few hours…
Marek Dyba wrote a review in polish language about our Genuin FS 3 MK 2. Apparently one of the best reviews ever. You can read the review in polish here.
I had the chance to pay a visit to Mr. Aschenbrunner, the journalist writing for HiFi Stars at the Silvia Oelkers Verlag. Mr. Aschenbrunner is a direct person and preferred to have just his system depicted without people.
Despite an article about the Genuin FS 2 is going to be published in the next weeks, we did not talk at all about that: we discussed about music and its reproduction. It was an amazing afternoon that ended in an enjoyable dinner at a local high class restaurant.
Hamburg and the Norddeutsche HiFi Tage are always worth a trip. Probably I've already mentioned: Hamburg is one of the cities where I could think about a good living. Better than a lot others.
Well, I'll not mention about the music and the higher and higher quality of the show. It is worth visiting, but believe me, You will need the whole time to be sure to find (and then enjoy) the rooms worth Your time: there are really a lot.
- The Pick Up - Einstein Cartridge
- The Tonarm - Einstein Tonarm
- Air Force 3 - Tech Das Turntable
- The Phono Preamp - Einstein Phono Preamp
- The Tune - Einstein Integrated Power Amp
- Tempesta 20 - Loudspeakers Blumenhofer
- The Power Harmonizer - Cammino power filter
- Reference series Cables - from Cammino
It is a big system, but if You consider the main parts, Loudspeakers and power amp, it is still in a reasonable price range.
As usual, blues, blues, rock, a small bit of classics, blues and then country, country blues, electro rock, country rock, blues rock, folk (but not too much) and then baroque, and orchestras…
Good music, good sound, really enjoyable for even longer than the 2 days of the show.
The organizer (Ivonne) put a basket of prizes together and we offered a set of Mini loudspeakers (here the news), they were the most valuable price of the event. These pair of Minis have been won by Ingo B**h. I hope he will enjoy them as well as I'm enjoying mine here in my home.
If You are curious about some pictures, please here You can find them.
We are curious about the 2018 edition ;-)
It must have been a nice event at RITSART In Maassluis: Live Music, Art, Recordings and reproduction of the recordings. Amazing. The only thing I can suggest is to have a look at the pictures of the event, and if You understand Dutch, You are in advantage to me. Here our dedicated page.
Lots of friends there discussing about Analogue and listening for exceptional pieces of music on old style sources: Tapes, Turntables and so on.
You can have more information about the event here
And here our news for the event.
